Would a person go shopping and buy dinner and then commit suicide ?  Yes, they would.

So often on detective shows, they will ask, "Would a person...  do such and such, and then go and commit suicide.. ?

Yes, they would.

There are so many myths like - if they talk about it they won't do it - try asking these folks if their loved ones talked about suicide before they died.  Most of the time, the answer is, Yes !

You go along, hang on, as long as you can.  Sometimes you just have to stop - when a suicidal impulse is so strong - you stop

still in your tracks  you are overcome with pain sorrow lost inside a suicidal impulse you breath short breathes,  in painful disbelieve, you cry out

your eyes like glass

can I do this    will I do this     I must do this    I must die

if I could just close my eyes and die right now, I would be dead right now

you cry, somehow it subsides

in a while, you pick up your bag and trudge on with the obligatory chores of keeping this body alive

you can't believe you did not just die      you can't believe you are still here.
